Sex workers are calling on the Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald not to criminalise the purchase of sex.

They say it will make their work more dangerous. They would like to see legislation promoting their safety and human rights.

Currently the selling of sex is a legal transaction between two consenting adults, but the Criminal Law (Sexual Offences) 2014 approved by the Government last November would change that.
