Thousands left without power after strong winds
Strong overnight winds have left thousands of homes without power.
Electricity customers in Carrigaline, Co Cork, have had their power restored after strong winds overnight.
Almost 2,000 customers were without power in the Co Cork town, but ESB Networks say they have brought power back to their customers there.

More than 300 homes remain without power this morning as high winds continue to affect the south and west.
Kyletaun in Co Limerick is the worst-affected area with more than 200 homes now off the grid.

Around 2,400 homes in counties Cork, Limerick and Galway have been affected after winds with speeds of up to 60km/h and gusts of up to 110km/h battered the north and west coasts overnight.
Carrigaline in Co Cork has been hit the hardest as more than 1,800 customers are without supply.

ESB Networks has apologised to anyone whose service has been disrupted and says its engineers are working to restore power as quickly as possible.
Status orange wind warnings issued by Met Eireann are still in place for the west and north until 9am this morning.
A status yellow wind warning is in place elsewhere, with mean speeds between 45-60km/h and gusts between 90-110km/h.
