Man shot in Clondalkin

A 25-year-old man has been shot in Dublin.

A man is being treated in Tallaght Hospital after a shooting incident in Clondalkin last night.

It is understood the 25-year-old was walking across a green area at Melrose Avenue when he was shot at around 9pm.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Gardaí have carried out an examination of the area where the shooting happened.
