Priest asks churches to give up gold to fund teaching post

A Limerick priest is appealing to churches around the country to sell their unwanted gold items to help pay for a teacher at a Moyross primary school.

Father Tony O'Riordan says the Department of Education had cut funding for a teaching post at Corpus Christi primary school, which would lead to the merger of two junior infants classes.
