Man checks into Mater with gunshot wound

A man has presented himself at a Dublin Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.

The man in his 20s is understood to have been accompanied by another man when he arrived at the Mater Hospital at around 7.15pm.

His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Gardaí in Mountjoy are investigating.
