Greyhound Waste deny locking staff out

Greyhound Waste is denying that staff have been locked out of their jobs in Dublin.

70 members of staff - represented by SIPTU - have been picketing the waste collection company's sites since last month.

The row centres on a proposal to introduce pay cuts of up to 35 per cent on a unilateral basis.

Greyhound has been using agency workers to carry out bin collections in the capital - since the action began.

The company says this has led to an increase in productivity.

But the striking workers say they are being treated unfairly.
