A teenager who murdered a German student in a fatal stabbing in Dublin has been described as the "ringleader" of the attack by a judge who has sentenced him to seven years detention.

His co-accused - 20-year-old Wesley Kelly of St Anthony's Road, Rialto - has been jailed for six-and-a-half years for the manslaughter of Thomas Heinrich on December 1, 2012.
