Gilmore due to make statement amid resignation rumours

Labour leader Eamon Gilmore is due to make a statement at 4pm, amid widespread rumours of his impending resignation.

The Tánaiste is facing a motion of no confidence today from within his own party, following an election wipeout which has left the party without any representation in Europe.
