Green Party election candidate subjected to racist attack

A local election candidate in Monaghan town has been the victim of a racist attack.

Green party candidate Grazvydas 'Grady' Vaitekunas said he was verbally abused by a member of the public last week who threatened to remove his posters as he "didn't want foreigners in the country".
