Gardaí investigate fire that kills man on Roscommon farm

A man has died in a fire at a farmhouse in Co. Roscommon.

Gardaí in Roscommon are investigating the fire at a farmhouse in Coolshaghtena, Weekfield, Co Roscommon last night.

The fire was reported to Gardaí at around 8.45pm and a 49-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The house has been sealed off for a technical examination and the body remains at the scene.

Nobody else was in the house at the time of the fire.
