Gardaí detain man in connection with alleged harassment of RTE broadcaster

A man is reportedly being questioned overnight in connection with the alleged harassment of RTE's Sharon Ni Bheolain.

The 37-year-old was detained in north Dublin yesterday, and taken to Raheny Garda station for questioning.

He can be held for up to 24 hours before being charged or released.

Gardaí launched an investigation on foot of a number of emails that were sent to the broadcaster.
