Met Éireann stands down warning as winds ease

Met Eireann's orange national weather warning is no longer in place, as gale force winds are now easing.

Earlier stormy conditions were felt worst along the South and West coasts, with flooding in parts of Cork, Kerry, Clare and Galway.

Met Éireann says there are still some strong gusts, but winds have decreased across the country.

Eircom crews are currently dealing with more than 11,000 faults, while the ESB is working to restore power to around 1,500 customers.
