Gardaí launch murder inquiry as Mayo shooting victim named locally

A murder probe has been launched after a 26-year-old was shot dead.

The victim, named locally as Owen Maughan, was shot a number of times in the back at a service station at Moneen in Castlebar, Co Mayo, yesterday afternoon.
