Investment in Institutes of Technology essential for future economy

The TUI says appropriate investment is needed in the Institute of Technology sector to meet the future needs of the Irish economy.

New figures published by the Teachers’ Union of Ireland show student numbers increased by over 17% between 2008 and 2012, despite a reduction in the number of full-time lecturers by around 8%.
