Dáil committee is seeking legal advice on ability to investigate abuse of penalty points

A Dáil committee is seeking legal advice on whether it can investigate new evidence into abuse of the penalty points system.

The Public Accounts Committee has received a dossier of evidence from a whistleblower which suggests the State is losing out on significant income because of the abuse.
