Gambler turns £1 into £100k

A gambler scooped £100,000 from a £1 stake.

The 27-year-old man – whose name has not been revealed – won the amount after correctly predicting the outcome of 15 soccer matches in bookmakers' Coral's 'Football Jackpot' competition.

But he faced a nervous wait to see if he had scooped the jackpot, relying on Scottish side Aberdeen and fortunately they didn't disappoint, destroying Partick Thistle in a 4-0 win.

The punter also correctly guessed the outcomes of Arsenal's win over Liverpool, and predicted Everton and Tottenham would draw in their fixture.
