Labour responds to O’Grady resignation

Labour has reacted to the resignation of one of its town councillors by saying it's unfortunate that public representatives elected under the Labour Party banner will not be with them to say goodbye to the troika on December 15th.

A spokesperson for the party said Labour had just put through a budget that will put an end to the bailout.

It follows comments by the former mayor of Killarney Sean O'Grady who said he was quitting Labour.

He then described the coalition as the most right wing government he had experienced.

O’Grady claimed that coalition policies had seen those with the least paying the most.
