Gardaí appeal for witnesses after serious crash in Roscommon

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious crash in Co Roscommon this morning.

At around 10am a man in his 70s was seriously injured when the car he was driving was involved in a collision with a lorry on the N5 between Strokestown and Tulsk.

He was taken by Air Ambulance to Hospital.

The driver of the lorry was uninjured.

Forensic investigators are at the scene which remains closed.

Traffic diversions are in place.
