Body of man discovered on Meath beach

The body of a man in his 40's has been found on Mornington Beach, Co. Meath.

The discovery was made at around 9.30am this morning.

The area has been sealed off for a technical examination and the body remains at the scene.

The office of the State pathologist has been notified.

Gardaí from Laytown are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the discovery.

Update at 12.30pm

It is believed the body has visible injuries.
