Shatter to review Irish troops being deployed to Syria

The Justice Minister will today review the troops of the 43rd infantry group today ahead of their deployment to Syria.

The 115 troops have been in training for the past five weeks and will depart for a six-month tour of duty in Syria in the coming days.

The deployment is part of peace-keeping duties with the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force.
