Man held after body of woman found in Navan house

A man in his mid-30s has been arrested after the body of a woman has been found at a house in Co. Meath.

The discovery was made in Beaufort Place, in Navan at around 7pm this evening.

Gardaí have sealed off the scene for a full technical examination and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

The arrested man is currently receiving medical attention in hospital.

It is believed Gardaí are treating the death as suspicious.
