Toddler airlifted to hospital after kick from horse in Tipperary

A toddler was seriously injured after being kicked in the head by a horse in Tipperary.

The two-year boy was airlifted to hospital following the incident which happened in the Rosemount Estate in Thurles yesterday evening.

He is being treated for his injuries in the Mid West Regional Hospital in Limerick where he is said to be in a serious condition.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
