Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist to consult with members on abortion report

The Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists is to consult with its members following the publication of the Expert Group Report on abortion law yesterday.

The institute said it wanted to assure pregnant women and their families that they are receiving the best of care during pregnancy.

It also said it was awating the Government's response on the report, saying that clarity on when the termination of a pregnancy was permitted, was important.
