Met Éireann issues flood warning

Met Éireann has warned of serious rainfall, particularly in the west and southwest.

Intense bursts have been predicted, with localised flooding expected.

Met Éireann says it expects up to 35 millimetres of rain to fall this evening and overnight.

Motorists are being advised to drive with care because of the risk of spot flooding and excess surface water.
