Government criticised for increasing immigration registration fee

The Immigrant Council of Ireland is criticising the government for increasing the immigration registration fee by 100% without any warning or consultation.

From tomorrow, the fee required for non EU people who are legal residents in the state to register with the authorities will increase from €150 per person to €300 per person.
