A young mother from Bray, Co Wicklow is appealing for help in locating her stolen car, which contained a substantial amount of equipment for her children who have special needs.

Four of Eileen O’Toole's sons have autism, and one of them also has cerebral palsy.

The equipment was in a people carrier, a Silver Opel Zafira, with the registration plate 01D 79052, when it was taken from Florence Road in Bray town yesterday afternoon.

Eileen told East Coast FM that the equipment is vital for the day-to-day activities of her sons.

"In the car, there's a special needs buggy, a harness for helping them sit up straight in it, there's a pair of AFO's, they're a leg brace, schoolbags, schoolcoats, just everything that we need … medical notes and assessments, belonging to one of my children, that's nine year, would have had assessments that we paid an awful lot of money for," she said.
