What's for dinner, dad? Curry

A father-of-three has fed his family curry every single day for a year.

Dan Toombs started making his own Indian delicacies after forking out far too much money on takeaways, and after setting himself a challenge of making 365 curry dishes on the trot – including Christmas Day – he is delighted to have succeeded.

He told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "The children took a while to get used to Indian food every day but grew to love it. On Christmas Day I put Indian spices under the skin of the turkey and cooked it with Bombay potatoes and a broccoli curry. It was a great success and the turkey leftovers lasted for days."

Dan initially used cookbooks to come up with new ideas for his curries but after becoming disappointed with the results he took inspiration based on meals from takeaways and has devised 500 recipes.
