Man remains in custody over Finnegan murder

A 31-year-old man remains in garda custody this evening in connection with the murder of Anna Finnegan.

The mother of two was stabbed a number of times at her home in Clonsilla on Friday night.

Her brother Karl also received stab wounds in the attack.

He is now in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

Investigating gardaí arrested the man last night and he is now being questioned at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
