Man charged after Garda gang raid

A man has appeared in court charged in connection with a major Garda operation targetting criminal gangs.

Seven people were arrested after raids on properties in Carlow and Laois on Wednesday.

The man charged appeared before Carlow District Court last night.

Two people have been released without charge, while four others are still in custody.
