Gardaí investigate armed robbery in Co Kildare

Gardaí are investigating are armed robbery which took place at a shop in Co Kildare this morning.

Two men armed with a small handgun, entered the Centra shop in Johnstown village at around 8am and threatened staff.

They then stole an undisclosed amount of money before making their getaway by car, in the direction of Kill.

The Blue BMW 5 Series saloon with registration 08 KE 9898 was stolen from Sallins earlier this morning.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact Naas Garda Station.
