Two in court after Dublin drug seizures
Two men have appeared in court, charged in connection with two separate drugs seizures in Dublin.
Both men were charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Twenty-seven-year-old Chinese national Song Lin is charged under section 15 of the Misuse of Drugs act in relation to the cultivation of cannabis.
Mr Lin, of no fixed abode was arrested in a house in Saggart where cannabis plants with a street value of €240,000 were discovered.
No application for bail was made and he is remanded in custody until June 21, when he will reappear at Clover Hill District Court.
Owen Perdu with an address at 2, Slaney House, Lower Mayor Street is charged with possession of drugs for sale and supply.
He was arrested on Thursday in relation to the discovery of the illegal substance MPC, commonly found in headshop products and ecstasy tablets, with a street value of up to €500,000.
Mr Perdu was granted cash bail with a surety of €10,000 on the condition that he surrender both his Irish and US passports, sign in daily to Store Street garda station and inform garda Seamus Donohue personally if he changes his address.
