Elderly Galway men subjected to burglarly ordeal

Two men in their 80s have been left injured and traumatised after an aggravated burglary at their Co Galway home overnight.
The incident began at around 11pm last night when two men wearing balaclavas and armed with a knife and a firearm gained entry to the men's home at Ballyroe, Williamstown.
The gang remained in the house until around 2.30am when they fled with a small amount of cash.
The pensioners managed to raise the alarm and received medical attention for minor injuries.
Gardai in Tuam are appealing for information about the men, one of whom was around 5' 5", of medium build and was wearing dark clothes and runners.
The second culprit was taller, again of medium build and wearing dark clothes and runners.
