Woman dies in Meath car accident

A woman in her 40s has died in a road accident in Co Meath this morning.

The single-car crash happened at Ballinagun, Upper Kells, shortly after midnight.

The woman, who was the only person in the car, was taken to Our Ladys Hospital in Navan, where she was later pronounced dead.

The road has been closed for a forensic examination.
