Third level colleges deemed leaders in litter-free league
Nearly all of Ireland's third level colleges are now litter-free and a model for other public places to follow.
That's according to a litter survey by Irish Business Against Litter, which is launching its 2012 litter league at Trinity College Dublin today.
IBAL said those in charge of keeping public amenities such as hospitals, train stations and shopping centres clean should look to the performance of third level campuses.
Seventeen of 21 colleges surveyed were deemed litter-free, with only DIT Kevin Street branded "heavily littered".
