Angler dies in hospital after Galway lake fall

An angler who was airlifted from Lough Corrib in Galway last night has died in hospital.

He was one of two men rescued from the water at around 5pm near Anaghdown.

Both men were picked up by the Shannon rescue helicopter and brought to Galway University

Hospital.
