Court fails to overturn stay on jailing Priory Hall developer
The Supreme Court has refused to overturn a stay on an order jailing Priory Hall developer Tom McFeely without a full hearing.
The High Court directed a three-month spell in jail for the developer last November for failing to carry out remedial fire safety works on the North Dublin apartments, but he remains a free man.
Dublin City Council argued today that the stay on his imprisonment should be lifted on the grounds Mr McFeely has no arguable grounds of appeal but the Supreme Court has rejected the claim and the matter will go to hearing.
