Apartment complex roof collapses in Wexford fire

Eyewitnesses have said a good portion of the roof at an apartment complex in New Ross, County Wexford, has collapsed after a major fire broke out there.

Eyewitnesses have said a good portion of the roof at an apartment complex in New Ross, County Wexford, has collapsed after a major fire broke out there.

Emergency services are attending the scene on the North Quays in the town.

Four units of the Fire Service, Gardaí and an ambulance are at the scene of the fire that broke out at about 4.30pm this afternoon.

There are no reports of any injuries at this stage as the building and neighbouring businesses were earlier evacuated.

The road is closed at the moment.
