Age test for accused in Turkey murder

A Turkish court has ruled that a man accused of murdering two Irish women must undergo a bone marrow test to determine his age.

Recep Cetin - who claims he is 17 and should be tried in a youth court - is alleged to have killed Marion Graham and Kathy Dinsmore in Turkey last summer.

However, the families of the victims and their local MPs for South Down and Newry and Armagh insist the suspect is older and should be tried in an adult court, where he would face a tougher sentence.

Cetin was the boyfriend of Shannon Graham, Marion Graham's 15-year-old daughter.

The case has been adjourned until February 22nd.
