Prostate cancer survivors invited to attend Dublin conference
The Irish Cancer Society is inviting patients and survivors of Prostate cancer to attend a support conference in Dublin today.
Supporting Men with Prostate Cancer includes talks on the psychological effects of a cancer diagnosis, dealing with relationships and the benefits of group humour therapy.
Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men in Ireland after skin cancer. Most recent statistics show that more than 2,800 men were diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2009.
The conference is about giving patients the opportunity to meet one another and share their experiences with the disease.
