Man injured in Limerick stabbing

A man in his 20s has been seriously injured in a stabbing in Limerick city this afternoon.

It happened on at Parnell Street and Lady's Lane just off O'Connell Street shortly before 4pm.

The victime has been rushed to the Midwestern Regional Hospital where his injuries are described as serious.

The scene has been sealed off and a Garda investigation is underway.
