Galway crash victim named

Gardaí investigating a fatal collision between a pedestrian and a motorcyclist in Galway city have named the vicim as 73-year-old Tony Wheatley of Dun Na Mara in Renmore.

The crash happened on the Renmore road last evening and Mr Wheatley was pronounced dead in hospital a short time later.
