Pensions dispute may hit air passengers in next two weeks

Passengers at Dublin, Cork and Shannon airports could face disruption over the next two weeks, due to tensions over Aer Lingus and DAA pension funds.

A report in today's Sunday Business Post said SIPTU is threatening to stage a mass general meeting of its members who work at the airports.

Such a move would be likely to cause severe disruption to passengers.

The union is also planning coordinated work stoppages.
