Two men armed with a meat cleaver and a poker have assaulted a 31-year-old man in north Belfast, fracturing his leg, arm and nose and cutting his hand.

Two men armed with a meat cleaver and a poker have assaulted a 31-year-old man in north Belfast, fracturing his leg, arm and nose and cutting his hand.

They forced their way into a house at St James Crescent at 8.30pm last night and attacked their victim who was inside.
