Two men armed with a meat cleaver and a poker have assaulted a 31-year-old man in north Belfast, fracturing his leg, arm and nose and cutting his hand.

CONVICTED murderer and rapist Gerald Barry has been given a concurrent two-year sentence for assaulting his former partner and their young son two months before he raped and murdered Swiss student Manuela Riedo.
