Liam Adams ruling postponed to Monday
Liam Adams will have to wait until Monday to find out if he is to be extradited to the North on charges of raping and abusing his daughter.
The brother of Sinn Féin president and TD Gerry Adams was in the High Court in Dublin this morning where a decision was deferred by the judge, who said he wants further time to make his judgment more "polished".
Liam Adams denies multiple counts of rape, indecent assault and gross indecency against his daughter Áine Tyrell in Belfast between 1977 and 1983.
Both father and daughter were in court today as Mr Justice John Edwards was expected to rule on whether the extradition should proceed.
The judge told the parties that he had made his decision but said he wanted more time to ensure his written judgment is as polished as it can be.
He said he was conscious both sides would want to consider the judgment as the losing side may wish to appeal to the Supreme Court.
After consulting with counsel he decided not to indicate today whether Liam Adams would be surrendered to the North until he delivered a full ruling on Monday.
