Bruton: Jobs outlook 'impossible to predict'

The Jobs Minister Richard Bruton has said "uncertainties" remain that mean it is "impossible to predict when large scale job creation will return" to Ireland.

Mr Bruton was speaking as he announced 60 new jobs at new facilities in Galway and Dublin.

The multi-national medical device company 'Carefusion' is creating 35 jobs in Gort, while Bluebird Care has announced 25 jobs for South Dublin.

This year is expected to be a record year for the number of IDA-created investments, but many of them are for dozens rather than hundreds of jobs.

Mr Bruton said it is because the economic recovery remains "fragile".
