Double murderer agrees to return to Britain

A double murderer who skipped probation in the UK has agreed to return to Britain following his detention in Wicklow on a European Arrest Warrant.

Ian Kentzer received two life sentences in 1991 after he admitted killing his 92-year-old grandmother and 89-year-old great aunt by torching their home in Sheffield.

He served 15 years and was released on license in 2007 but a year later he broke contact with the probation services and fled to Wicklow.

The 45-year-old has been living in the Roundwood area under the name of Owen Thomas where he operates a business called Mould Busters.

Today a court heard he has a previous conviction for having sex with a minor.
