Gardaí hunt armed gang over Drogheda tiger kidnapping

Gardaí are continuing to hunt for an armed gang who kidnapped a postal worker and his family and stole up to half a million euro in Co. Louth yesterday.

The man, his wife and child were targeted at their home in Forest Park housing estate in Drogheda on Monday night and held for a number of hours.

The postal worker was then taken to the post office on West Street in Drogheda yesterday morning, where more than €550,000 was stolen.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
