Around €1m worth of drugs has been seized at Dublin Port today.

Cannabis and cocaine was found by a sniffer dog in a refrigerated 40ft container which had arrived from Germany via Holyhead this morning.

It included 75kg of cannabis resin, 25kg of herbal cannabis and 2.3kg of cocaine.

A British man in his 50s was arrested and both the truck and trailer were seized.

He is now being held at Store Street garda station.

“Inquiries are ongoing both nationally and internationally,” a Customs spokesman said.
