Household charge could increase, admits Minister

Education Minister Ruairí Quinn has today admitted that the flat rate household charge being introduced next year is likely to be increased.

Those opposed to the €100 annual charge which was announced yesterday, have claimed it is a "foot in the door" and will be significantly hiked in the years ahead.
